About Product
1. What basic tools do beginners need for baking?
Basic tools that beginners need for baking include:
- Oven: The main tool for baking, used to bake various products. It is recommended to purchase a household oven with upper and lower heating elements, adjustable temperature, and a timer function, with a volume of at least 24L, to ensure the ability to bake a variety of baked goods.
- Electronic scale: Used to accurately measure baking ingredients, ensuring accurate recipe ratios, and is one of the key tools for successful baking.
- Measuring cups and spoons: Used to measure liquids and loose ingredients such as milk and oil, ensuring accurate ingredient measurement.
- Whisk: Available in manual and electric versions. Manual whisks are suitable for mixing small amounts of ingredients, while electric whisks are more convenient and labor-saving, especially for whipping egg whites and butter.
- Mixing bowl: Used to mix ingredients, it is recommended to choose stainless steel or glass material, which is easy to clean and not sticky.
- Baking trays and racks: Baking trays are used to place baked goods, while baking racks are used to cool them after baking. It is recommended to have at least two baking trays for alternating use.
- Baking paper or oil cloth: Used to line the bottom of baking trays to prevent sticking and make cleaning easier.
- Flour sieve: Used to sift flour or other powdered ingredients, removing impurities and making the ingredients more fluffy and fine.
2. How to properly clean and maintain baking tools?
Proper cleaning and maintenance of baking tools can extend their lifespan and ensure food safety. Here are some basic suggestions:
- Oven: Clean the oven promptly after use to remove food residue and oil stains. Use a damp cloth to wipe the interior walls and baking racks of the oven, but avoid using corrosive cleaners. Regularly clean the oven door seams and heating elements to maintain heating efficiency.
- Metal tools (such as whisks, mixing bowls): Clean and dry them promptly after use to avoid water residue that can cause rust. For stubborn stains, use a gentle detergent for cleaning.
- Plastic tools: Also need to be cleaned and dried, but avoid using excessively hot water or putting them in the dishwasher to prevent deformation or damage.
- Baking paper and oil cloth: Dispose of them after use and do not reuse. If the oil cloth is damaged or has difficult-to-remove stains, replace it promptly.
- Electronic scale: Turn off the power and clean the scale surface after use to avoid food residue affecting accuracy. Remove the battery if not used for a long time to prevent leakage and damage to the scale body.
3. How to choose suitable baking molds?
Choosing suitable baking molds requires consideration of the following factors:
- Purpose: Clarify what type of baked goods you need to make, such as cakes, bread, cookies, etc., to choose the corresponding molds.
- Material: Baking molds are available in various materials including metal, silicone, ceramic, etc. Metal molds have good thermal conductivity and are suitable for baked goods that require rapid and uniform heating; silicone molds are soft and easy to demold, suitable for making complex shapes; ceramic molds have good heat preservation and are aesthetically pleasing. Choose the appropriate material based on your needs.
- Size: Choose the appropriate size of the mold based on the recipe or actual needs. Ensure that the capacity and dimensions of the mold match your oven.
- Brand and quality: Choosing molds from well-known brands and with reliable quality can ensure safety and durability during use. High-quality molds usually have better thermal conductivity and demolding performance, helping to improve the quality of baked goods.
